Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Vimal collects when you use our iOS app and website, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions can be sent to privacy@vimal.app.

Information you give us

Account details: name, username, email address, password, and an optional phone number.
Your date of birth, used only to confirm you meet the minimum age.
Content you create: posts, comments, photos, videos, stories, direct messages, and community activity.
Purchase records when you buy a subscription or product (payment card details are handled by Apple or Stripe, never stored by us).
Reports and messages you send to our support or safety teams.

Information collected automatically

A push notification token, if you allow notifications.
Crash reports and performance data (device model, OS version, request timing) to keep the app stable.
How you interact with content (for example topics you engage with) to rank your feed.

We do not use your data to track you across other companies' apps or websites, we do not sell your personal information, and we do not access your location or contacts.

How we use information

To run your account and deliver the features you use.
To personalise your feed and recommendations.
To keep Vimal safe, including reviewing reported content and enforcing our Community Guidelines.
To process purchases and payouts.
To diagnose crashes and improve performance.

Sharing

Content you post publicly is visible to other users. We share data with service providers who operate on our behalf (hosting and database, video processing, payments, and email delivery), only as needed to provide the service, and when required by law.

Retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is scheduled immediately and completed within 7 days, during which you can cancel using the link we email you. After that, your profile, content, messages, and login are permanently removed, except where we must keep limited records by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data. Contact privacy@vimal.app and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

Vimal is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

We will post updates here and notify you in the app for significant changes.
